THE CHEF'S KISS
Others
The Chef's Kiss is a visual study of precision and mastery.
By drawing a parallel between cooking and the practice of iaidō, the film explores the search for a balance between two very different disciplines, brought together by their demands.
Our chef's preparation of a dish serves as the thread running through the narrative. Throughout the film, evocative images convey the sensations, rigor, and instinct that animate each gesture.
The Chef’s Kiss explores this fragile balance between mastery and letting go, between discipline and creation.
This project was carried out in collaboration with La Main, an audiovisual production company specializing in advertising.
With carte blanche over the art direction and concept development, we imagined, directed, and produced the film in its entirety, from the initial idea to the final image. A rare freedom that allowed us to experiment, to play with form as well as substance.
